Chemical PP or polypropylene fume hood is a laboratory ventilation equipment made of polypropylene material. Mainly used in laboratory environments such as chemistry, biology, and medicine to handle harmful gases, vapors, dust, and smoke, ensuring the safety of laboratory personnel and the cleanliness of the experimental environment. Compared to steel fume hoods, it has better chemical resistance. Our polypropylene chemical fume hood has been tested and approved by SGS to ensure its safety and minimal leakage performance.
PP Fume Hood Material Introduction
Dimension: 900/1200/1500/1800x850x2350mm(LxWxH)
Main structure: Our polypropylene fume hood is made of 8mm high-quality white polypropylene (PP) board, known for its excellent chemical resistance. The door is made of 15mm high-quality white PP board, and the handle and hinge are made of durable disposable molded PP material.
Sash: It’s made of 5mm thick safety tempered glass and polypropylene side frame that slides up and down with a belt and special balance safety device, featuring aerodynamic edges.
Operation worktop: Made of sturdy 15mm PP workbench and storage cabinet or phenolic resin/ceramic/epoxy resin workbench according to the actual needs of the customer.
Standard: When the window sash is opened at a safe height, the frontal face velocity should be at least 0.5 m3/sec. This PP chemical fume hood is designed and manufactured according to SGS standards.
Accessories: It includes various services such as fluorescent lamps, remote cold water valves and outlets, remote air valves and outlets with safety features, universal or UK/EU sockets, LCD displays for controlling power and light, and small centrifugal fans with hoses.
Advantages of Polypropylene Fume Hood
PP (polypropylene) material endows PP fume hoods with the following advantages:
Acid and alkali resistance: PP material has excellent acid and alkali resistance and can withstand high-intensity acid and alkali experiments.
Applicable environment: Suitable for clean rooms and high-end places, such as cleanrooms.
Safety: Due to its excellent acid and alkali resistance, it can better protect the safety of users.
Application Locations of PP Chemical Fume Hood
PP fume hood is mainly used in the following locations.
High intensity acid-base experiment: Due to its excellent acid-base resistance, it is suitable for environments that require high-intensity acid-base experiments.
Cleanroom: commonly used in cleanrooms with high environmental requirements.
High end places: places that require high cleanliness and acid and alkali resistance, such as purification rooms.
In general, our chemical PP or Polypropylene fume hood is suitable for harsh working environment with higher requirement on chemical resistance, or clean room etc requiring fume cupboards without metal exposed.
